*Applies to items such as boxes, bottles, shoes, bags, laptops and similar — almost any typical object. **Applies to a very small number of irregular items where the top part is significantly larger than the bottom part (mushroom-like), e.g. a large bonsai tree or asymmetrical thin table lamp. ***Applies to features that go beyond the main body of the object — e.g. tiny leaves in a bonsai tree may not be captured. The system has its limitations, so we cannot guarantee measurement of all items — nonetheless, over 99% of our tests were completed successfully. Contact us if you have any doubts.

Both share the same studio body, 170-panel Virtual Lamps, Canon EOS R camera compatibility and Orbitvu Station software, and both produce images, 360° spins and product video. XL G2 MDC (Master Data Capture) adds laser measurement and an integrated scale, so dimensions and weight are captured automatically alongside your visuals and exported as structured data — no separate station or manual entry required.
MDC captures height, width, depth and weight, from 5g to 25kg, with a minimum measurable object size of 5 × 5 × 5mm and a minimal feature size of 5mm. Regular-shaped items such as boxes, bottles, shoes, bags and laptops up to 55 × 40 × 65cm are measured reliably, with over 99% of our tests completing successfully — a small number of irregular, mushroom-like shapes may not be guaranteed. Contact us if you're unsure your products can be measured accurately.
Items up to 60 × 40 × 70cm and 25kg — it's well suited to industrial parts, tools, automotive accessories, and other larger or heavier products where consistent, high-volume content and (with MDC) verified dimensions and weight both matter.
Yes. Both variants capture stills, packshots, product video and 360° spins in the same session — MDC simply adds structured dimension, weight and label data on top, all exported together as one publish-ready record.
